About Crohn's Veteran
My name is Jordan B. McConnell
I know firsthand what life is like living with an inflammatory bowel disease.
I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in the 9th grade.
I've had multiple intrusive medical interventions. These experiences include 2 bowel resections totaling 24 inches of colon removed, my appendix has removed along with the ileum. All due to severe inflammation.

I have both Crohn's Disease and Bile Acid Malabsorbtion.
I've endured painful flares, chronic diarrhea, lifelong medications, biologic infusions, several colonoscopies, fistulas, fatigue, and vomiting fits.
I know what it feels like to have an epidural pulled out of my back immediately after surgery because the morphine button connected to it didn't work. I went 48 without effective pain management after having an 8 inch incision closed.

I founded the Crohn's Veteran as a passion project in 2019. The podcast followed a year later. My goal is still to share IBD stories, raise awareness, build a successful online brand, and raise funds for the IBD non profit community.
I'm dedicated to improving the lives of those impacted by gastrointestinal illnesses worldwide.
100% of sales from the Crohn's Veteran store will be used to support IBD related charities.
Crohn's Veteran is rooted in empathy and compassion for the IBD community.
My life has been an ambitious corporate career, raising a son with my wife, learning life lessons, overcoming self-sabotage, reclaiming joy, and all with the undercurrent of a mostly invisible chronic illness.
I'm currently based in Las Vegas, NV. I 'm grateful to currently work full-time as a Cloud Engineer at New American Funding.
I served honorably in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant before separating due to Crohn's complications.
I enjoy uplifting the IBD community, playing video games, supporting my wife's art business, traveling when I can, being a tech nerd, experimenting in the kitchen, spending time with my family, and playing with our awesome dog.

Thank you for visiting Crohn's Veteran.

Drop me a line.

Kind regards

Jordan
